Milestone!
First night so far...neither one of us got out of bed the entire night for either child. Woohoo!!! We are most blessed. We celebrate our 3rd anniversary tomorrow, and it will be the first one yet in which we weren't expecting. Wow!

Thanksgiving
Sweet Thanksgiving, mostly spent with family in Atlanta. Boys are getting huge, and more fun by the day. Finally got over another round of colds for all. Joshua now has this little shrill shreik when he's happy and excited. He bounces almost as much as his brother did. Daniel is putting 2 words together fairly well. Now he thinks the name of all lions are Daniel, b/c we tell him about the lion's den story frequently. When the MGM lion roars in front of his favorite Tom and Jerry cartoons, he says "Daniel". When he wants to show us something, he says "Showme" (all one word) b/c thats what we usually say when he is grunting and pointing.

Wanted to make sure ya'll have an up to date list of all Daniel's favorite things (Joshua's will come later, as now it mainly consists of milk, funny faces, gas, and car rides for naps).

-Puzzles (anything that can be put together, then dumped on the floor)
-Blocks (large Legos)
-Mommy and Daddy's food
-Anyone nearby in restaurants (waitresses, fellow customers, etc)
-Cousin Shelby (Bubble)
-His friends Reynolds Chilton, and Benjamin and Thomas Reeves
-Reading books (Maisy, Bible heroes, etc)
-Airplanes
-Feeding the dog (opening and closing gate, dumping food into bowl, putting back cups)
-Trash (still!, see previous video), including the diaper "Gee" Genie
-Going out to lunch (confident Joshua will love this too)
-Anything outside, and the "shoooes" that must be put on to go out
-Chips, bread, melon (any type), applesauce, cheerios, and "Cheeeeeze"

Update
We've been having a pretty good time lately. Unfortunately, Joshua found his first cold at church nursery last week and passed it on to Daniel and Sarah. Mild though, and everyone is almost entirely over it now. Building up that immunity, eh...!
Very cute for Halloween, as you'll see. Only problem was it 75 degrees, and those were some warm outfits. Daniel didn't mind a bit though, in fact enjoyed roaming around as a lion and getting candy from strangers. Great night for toddlers, and our neighborhood is one large party on October 31st yearly.

update
| Everyone is doing great. Joshua is growing like a weed. His appearance seems to change daily from neonate (ie wrinkled up pouty thing) to baby (cute, interactive, smiling). He has the same blue eyes as Daniel, but I don't see too much resemblence beyond that. Joshua has some GI issues as well though (one thing we didn't want him to inherit), but nothing too bad, except for the lack of sleep it induces in parents (Sarah is being an absolute trooper though dealing with the deprivation). Our schedule has been somewhat chaotic in recent weeks, but hopefully settling down soon into a pattern. The Lord is growing us up into greater likeness to Him (despite us), which we rejoice in. May we continue to beg for and recognize his blessings. |
